A Legacy of Innovation
Our story began with the Crawford Band, five children performing John Phillip Sousa numbers under the stern guidance of their father, B.R. “The Professor” Crawford. As adults, Raymond, Wagner, Talmadge “Dutch,” Emil, and the band leader, Rush, became Crawford’s Comedians, “the first great dramatic show ever playing repertoire under canvas.” The siblings performed music and vaudevillian acts and showcased the most popular performers of the day, becoming the largest traveling variety show of their time.
The Modern Era
Today, Crawford’s Attractions is a vibrant production company reimagined by Rush Crawford’s great-granddaughter, Robyn Wagoner. After two more decades of event production and with a renewed focus on film and animation, she honors her family’s storied past while embracing the limitless possibilities available with the technologies and sensibilities of the future. Robyn often works alongside her daughter—animator Justis Biggart, in a mother-daughter team. Crawford’s Attractions is known for producing unique, impactful, and culturally competent content and talent, and will soon be offering organics show-stopping treats.
